A Korean family living in India has gone viral after their young sons tried making pani puri at home, creating one of the cutest cross-cultural food moments on Instagram.

Korean cuisine has steadily built a loyal following in India, with dishes such as ramyeon, kimchi, tteokbokki and Korean fried chicken becoming familiar favourites. But every now and then, the cultural exchange takes a delightful turn—especially when it happens in an Indian kitchen. A new Instagram video from a Korean family living in India has captured exactly that, and social media cannot get enough of it.
The family, known online as @wonny_brothers, posted a clip featuring their two young sons attempting to make one of India’s most iconic street snacks: pani puri. The video quickly struck a chord with viewers for its mix of unexpected flavours and heartwarming reactions.
The clip opens with the brothers carefully shallow-frying puris in a pan while their mother cooks dosa on the side—an unexpected yet entertaining fusion of two beloved Indian foods happening simultaneously. As the video progresses, the boys assemble their pani puris with aloo masala and spicy paani before popping them into their mouths in a single bite, just as tradition dictates.
Toward the end, the children are also seen enjoying dosa, smiling brightly as they savour the flavours. Their reactions make it clear that the homemade Indian feast was a hit.
The family captioned the video, “Korean Kids Cook Panipuri. The kids made panipuri, I made dosa…At this rate, we might as well open an Indian restaurant at home.”
Food lovers online were quick to respond with enthusiasm and affection. One user commented, “Aww ... It looks really yummy.” Another suggested expanding their culinary experiments, writing, “Please try butter chicken and butter naan.”
