Writer NS Madhavan’s X post about food served on Vande Bharat trains has sparked discussions on social media. The post was shared by NS Madhavan on April 15.

In his post, he suggests that just as there are attempts to impose a language, there are also efforts to impose a particular kind of food. He had shared pictures of the food served on the Bengaluru–Coimbatore Vande Bharat train. He said that these are the usual snacks available on South Indian Vande Bharat trains.

The post by NS Madhavan, a former IAS officer, received both support and criticism. Some people responded by saying that regional dishes should be given more importance in the food served on these trains. Others argued that, since passengers can choose their preferred meals via the IRCTC app and other food delivery apps, it's not fair to say that the food is being imposed.

Some also responded to the post by telling about the dishes listed in the menu of the Bengaluru–Mysuru Vande Bharat train.
