Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a new pilgrimage tour titled 'Divya Dakshin Yatra With Jyotirlinga - Shravan Masam' covering prominent South Indian temples across Tamil Nadu and Kerala from August 4 to 12. 

The nine-day and eight-night journey will include visits to the Arunachalam temple in Tiruvannamalai, Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram, Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai, Shri Padmanabha Swamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kumari Amman Temple and Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Trichy and Brihadeeswara Temple in Thanjavur.

Boarding stations for the pilgrimage include Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, and Renigunta. 

The Package Details

The train will depart from Secunderabad on the first day. On the second day, tourists will arrive in Thiruvannamalai to visit the Arunachalam temple. The journey continues to Rameswaram on the third day, where travellers can explore the Ramanathaswamy Temple.

Day four sees the train departing from Rameswaram to Madurai, with an evening visit planned to the Meenakshi Amman Temple. On the fifth day, the train heads to Kanyakumari, where passengers can visit the Kumari Amman Temple, Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam, and Sunset Point. Day six involves a road trip to Thiruvananthapuram, where tourists can explore the Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and relax at Kovalam Beach. The journey concludes with a visit to Tiruchirappalli.

The package is available in three categories: Economy (sleeper class) at Rs 14,250 per person, Standard (3AC) at Rs 21,900, and Comfort (2AC) at Rs 28,450.
