“Among the foliage, a bird perched on a branch, flaunting an array of colors. This vividly green bird, usually detectable without a camera, can camouflage with its surroundings as well. It has greenish-deep blue wings. Its forehead is crimson, and it has an orange throat. It resembles a spectacular rainbow. Called the golden-throated barbet, this beautiful bird is admired by birders and wildlife photographers because of its captivating beauty,” said Grace Marian, a birder and wildlife enthusiast from Meghalaya.
She caught the bird on camera while trekking in the Emerald Hills, Kola Khan Forest, West Bengal.

“I take photographs with a mission to inspire people with the spirit of conservation,” added Grace Marian.
