Palakkad: Everyone loves to have hot and spicy samosa. A roadside eatery shop run by Abdul Rahman at Harikkara street here has been surprising the foodies with 9 varieties of samosa.

From the normal vegetable Samosa with veggies like beetroot, carrot and onion to varieties of samosa with fillings of chicken, quail eggs, prawns, mushroom, cheese and potato are available in this shop. Those who arrive here will definitely get confused to select an item.

Apart from the mouthwatering spicy treat, fruit samosa with the fillings of apple and grapes is also available for those who crave something sweet.

Abdul Rahman, the 46-year-old samosa seller is experienced in this business since his childhood. He used to assist his father Kasim in his samosa business. Interestingly, Abdul Rahman who moved to Qatar in search of a job was successful in establishing a samosa shop. He returned to his native place amid the COVID crisis.

While thinking about a new business in his native place, Abdul Rahman was struck by the idea of introducing samosa varieties to the foodies.

He prepares the special masala mixture of the samosa and fills it in the maida dough at his residence in Palayapetta. He will take these samosas to the shop and deep fry it by adding each one to the boiling oil.

Abdul Rahman’s samosa sale will begin at 3 pm and conclude at 9 pm.
The price of each samosa varies from Rs 6 to Rs 8 according to the ingredients in its filling.

Abdul Rahman’s wife Seenath, children Mirshad, Mirshiya and relative Afsal have been assisting him in this business.
