New Delhi: The Indian chapter of SAGE, a global publisher of academic books, will soon shut down its publishing division. According to reports, an internal mail was sent to its employees and contributors informing them about the decision.
The agency has cited several challenges, particularly pandemic related factors for the decision. Reportedly, it would continue imported books sales and publishing of journals in India.
SAGE, founded in 1965, is a leading publisher of more than 1000 journals and over 900 new books every year. It specialises in the publishing of books on a wide range of subjects such as social science, medicine, technology, science and humanities.
