
Kozhikode: Mathrubhumi Books will be publishing the complete compilation of ‘Sahithya Varaphalam’, a famous column for literary criticism by Prof M Krishnan Nair. The articles, which were published as a column in Malayala Nadu, Kalakaumudi and Samakalika Malayalam magazines for about three decades, will be compiled in the form of a book edited by writer P K Rajasekharan.

‘Sahithya Varaphalam’ was popular column among Keralites as it drew the common people close to literature and introduced Malayalam, Indian and World literature to them. It enhanced the criticising power of readers by inviting attention to even minute information. Full details of the book will be disclosed in May.
P K Rajasekharan observed that ‘Sahithya Varaphalam’ was a column that showed the different perspectives of literature to the Keralites. Common readers, scholars, bookworms and all types of readers were introduced to the world literature with the column and it also revived their imagination, he opined.
