Kozhikode: The ‘Mathrubhumi Sahithya Puraskaram’ will be bestowed upon Malayalam writer Paul Zacharia on June 20 by writer M Mukundan. The ceremony is scheduled at 5 pm at K P Kesava Menon Hall.

The ceremony will be presided over by Mathrubhumi Managing Director MV Shreyams Kumar. Mathrubhumi Chairman and Managing Editor PV Chandran will extend the welcome. The vote of thanks will be delivered by renowned writer Subhash Chandran.

The selection committee unanimously decided to honour Zacharia with the Mathrubhumi Sahithya Puraskaram for his outstanding contributions to Malayalam literature. Zakaria's literary prowess has enriched the Indian storytelling landscape with his unique eloquence and exploration of unconventional themes.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs, along with a certificate and a sculpture.
