Vadakara: Kalpatta Narayanan has bagged the P Raghavan award, which is given to commemorate the works of the late Congress leader and social worker P Raghavan. The award will carry Rs 25000 in cash, a sculpture, and certificate.
The award selection committee assessed that the literary life of Kalpatta Narayanan is rich in the best writings that illuminate the essence of life in the most innovative and transparent language in the fields of poetry and prose. The award committee comprised V R Sudheesh, Veerankutty and Rajendran Edathumkara.
I Moosa, chairman of the commemmoration committee, announced that the award will be handed over to Kalpatta Narayanan by the former union minister Mullappally Ramachandran on March 31.
