
Actor-director Joy Mathew released the book 'Pracheena Kerala Samoohavum Jathi Vyavasthayum' written by P. Shyamala and published by Mathrubhumi Books. The book was released through the Facebook page of Joy Mathew. It is available in showrooms and on the website of Mathrubhumi Books.

While releasing the book, Joy Mathew said that P. Shyamala has penned a historic book that gives energy to the expedition into the future. The author has clearly explained, on the basis of documents and research, how the caste system was imposed on our society which had an ancient tribal heritage, he said.
Shyamala has also traced some clues about Mahabali who is considered to be a mythical character. She narrates how Mavel Pari, a tribal king known for his bravery and righteousness, was killed by a group of jealous rulers and he later inspired the concept of Mahabali, Joy Mathew added.
