Thiruvananthapuram: Food and Civil Supplies Minister GR Anil on Thursday said that the government will take measures to facilitate sales of agricultural produce via ration shops in the state.

“The option for selling agricultural produce of farmers and Kudumbashree products in the locality via ration shops in rural areas of the state will be facilitated,” Anil said while inaugurating Farmers’ Day celebration organised by Nedumangad municipality and Krishi Bhavan.

According to the minister, the state is progressing year by year in terms of production. He claimed that when compared to other states, interventions of the government in the agricultural sector help Kerala to curb inflation. The state is about to achieve barren-land-free status, he added.
