PM Kisan 21st instalment 2025 to be released soon. Check e-KYC, eligibility, and payment status on pmkisan.gov.in to receive ₹2,000.

New Delhi: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is once again in focus as the 21st instalment of the scheme is expected to be released in November 2025, according to various media reports. Under this flagship programme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, paid in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The scheme, launched in 2019, has so far benefited over 9.7 crore farmers across India. The 20th instalment was released on 2 August 2025.
e-KYC mandatory for payment
Only farmers who have completed e-KYC and registration on the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in) will receive the upcoming payment. The portal states: “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on the PMKISAN Portal, or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for biometric-based eKYC.”
Farmers need their Aadhaar number to complete the process.
Exclusion criteria
The Centre has identified certain ineligible cases under the scheme:
- Farmers who acquired land after February 1, 2019.
- Multiple family members registered for benefits (e.g., husband and wife) – payments will be subject to verification.
Farmers can check their eligibility and payment status through the “Know Your Status (KYS)” feature on the PM-KISAN website, mobile app, or Kisan eMitra chatbot.
How to check payment status
- Visit pmkisan.gov.in
- Go to Farmer’s Corner → “Know Your Status”
- Enter your registration number and security code
- Verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
Pending applications
If your status shows as pending, ensure Aadhaar linking, PAN verification, and bank details are correct to avoid delays in payment.
