Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has invited applications for the issue of ‘Ward of Insured Person Certificate' for Academic Session 2025-26.

The 'Ward of IP’ Certificate is for determining the eligibility under seats allocated for wards of Insured Persons (IPs) for admission to MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing Programs in ESIC Medical/Dental/Nursing Colleges and some State Government Medical Colleges for the Academic Session 2025-26.

The Director General ESIC has designated Regional Director/SRO In-Charge of the concerned Regional office as Competent Authority to issue this certificate.

The admission Policy and procedure for admissions to under-graduate (MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing) courses in ESIC Medical/Dental/ Nursing Colleges and some State Government Medical Colleges, is given in the Notice at https://esic.gov.in/admissions.

Candidates should apply online for the issue of a certificate, following which processing will be done online at the RO/SRO for the generation of a certificate. The candidates would be able to download the certificate on the ESIC website after approval. No physical copy of the application will be accepted at RO / SRO. The certificate will be issued by the Regional / Sub-Regional Office under whose jurisdiction the Insured Person is currently working.

The cut-off date for determining the eligibility of Insured Person for availing benefit under the seats allocated for the ward of Insured Persons (IPs) for his/her child/children would be 30th September, 2024. Only a person who is an 'Insured Person' as per the Act, as on 30.09.2024, would be eligible to avail the benefit.

The age of a dependent male ‘Ward of IP’ for eligibility under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ should not be more than 21 years as on 07.03.2025, the last date of submission of application form for NEET-UG 2025. The said date would not apply to a dependent unmarried female Ward of the IP as per provisions of the ESI Act, 1948.

Candidates have to apply for the IP Certificate online, at the Ward of IP Certificate link at https://esic.gov.in/, latest by 2359 hrs on 18.05.2025. The list of documents required to be uploaded in the online application is given in the Notice dated 2.5.2025 at https://esic.gov.in/admissions.

The last date of issue of the Ward of IP certificate by RO/SRO is 21.05.2025.

Provisional seats under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs) are as follows:

MBBS: ESIC Colleges (i) Faridabad, Haryana – 43 (ii) Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal - 65 (iii) K.K. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu-30 (iv) Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 68 (v) Gulbarga, Karnataka-68 (vi) Sanathnagar, Hyderabad -43 (vii) Alwar, Rajasthan -20 (viii) Bihta, Patna -35 (ix) Government Medical College, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-20 (x) Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College, Ner Chowk, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh- 36 (xi) Government Medical College, Kollam, Paripally-38/39 (Total MBBS seats 466/467). BDS seats: ESIC Dental College, Gulbarga, Karnataka- 28; BSc Nursing: ESIC Nursing College (i) Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka -30; (ii) Gulbarga, Karnataka -30. The reservation in the above seats would be as per Central Government guidelines in this matter.

Available seats for ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in various States will be pooled on an ‘All India Basis’ and allotted amongst the wards of Insured persons (IPs).

Those seeking admission under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ should have qualified in NEET UG 2025, should have the minimum eligibility criteria for admission as per MCC/ NTA/NEET/NMC/DCI/INC regulations and must have a valid ‘Ward of Insured Person Certificate’, issued by ESIC.

Candidates interested in seats for IP Wards have to register at https://mcc.nic.in/ for the MBBS / BDS / BSc Nursing seats under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in ESIC Medical / Dental / Nursing Colleges as and when the MCC Counselling process begins after the declaration of NEET UG 2025 results and have to submit their choices. Candidates will be allotted seats, based on their ‘merit cum preference of Institution and reservation benefits.
