The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to release the admit card for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2025 shortly. Once issued, candidates can download it from the official UPSC website — upsc.gov.in.

The CSE is conducted annually to recruit officers for prestigious services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).

Steps to Download UPSC CSE Mains Admit Card 2025:

  1. Visit upsc.gov.in.
  2. Click on “Admit Cards” on the homepage.
  3. Select “E-admit card for various examinations of UPSC”.
  4. Enter your registration ID or roll number and date of birth.
  5. Click “Submit”.
  6. Download and save the admit card for use at the examination centre.

The admit card will carry details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date and time, centre address, and important exam-day instructions.

Examination Structure:

Preliminary Exam: Two objective-type papers, 200 marks each, 2 hours per paper; 0.33 marks deducted for each wrong answer, no penalty for unanswered questions.

Mains Exam: Nine descriptive papers carrying a total of 1,750 marks, followed by a Personality Test of 275 marks.

Candidates who clear both the Mains and the Personality Test are considered for appointment to various top government posts.
