New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the UGC NET Exam Schedule for the June 2025 session. Candidates can now check the subject-wise exam dates and timings on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
About the exam: UGC NET, or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, is an exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor roles and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is typically held twice a year, in June and December. To qualify, candidates need to secure at least 55% marks in their Master's degree or equivalent examination, while reserved categories have a relaxation of 5 per cent marks. The test consists of two papers: Paper I (General Paper) and Paper II (Subject-Specific Paper). Qualifying candidates can pursue Assistant Professor roles or research opportunities, subject to individual university or college requirements.
The UGC NET June 2025 exam is scheduled from June 25 to June 29, with admit cards expected to be released 10 days before the exam date. Candidates can check the subject-wise schedule on the official NTA website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
