New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Provisional Answer Key(s) and Question Paper with Recorded Responses for the UGC – NET June 2025 Examination, conducted for 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode. This release opens a crucial window for candidates to challenge the provisional answer keys if they believe there are discrepancies.

The UGC – NET June 2025 Examination took place from June 25 to June 29, 2025. The Provisional Answer Key(s) and the Question Paper with Recorded Responses are now accessible on the official NTA website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Procedure for Challenging Answer Keys:

Candidates who wish to challenge the answer keys must follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NTA website: Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  2. Access Challenge Link: Click on 'Click Here to Answer Key Challenge'.
  3. Log in: Log in using your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the displayed security pin.
  4. View Answer Sheet: Click on "View Answer Sheet" to see your marked responses and the provisional answer keys. Then, click the "Challenge" button to select questions for the challenge.
  5. Review Question IDs: The system will display Question IDs in sequential order. Candidates should review questions by their respective IDs. The ID next to the question under the column 'Correct Option(s)' represents the correct answer key as determined by NTA. Note that dropped questions are highlighted and cannot be challenged.
  6. Select Option to Challenge: To challenge an option, select one or more of the given options in the subsequent four columns by clicking the check box.
  7. Upload Documents: Supporting documents for your challenge can be uploaded in a single PDF file by selecting 'Choose File'.
  8. Submit and Review: After selecting the desired option(s), scroll down and click 'Submit and review Claims', then proceed to the next screen.
  9. Final Submission: A display of all challenged Option IDs will appear. Candidates have the option to 'Modify your Claims' or 'Final Submit'.
  10. Pay Fee: After saving the claims, a screen displaying your challenges will appear. To finalise the challenge, kindly pay the fee by clicking on 'Pay Now'. Claims will be saved finally only after successful payment of the requisite fee. A fee of ₹200 (Rupees Two Hundred only) per question challenged is required, payable through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI. This processing fee is non-refundable.

The window for challenging the answer keys is open from July 6, 2025, to July 8, 2025, until 05:00 p.m. The last date for payment of the challenge fee is also July 8, 2025, up to 05:00 p.m.
