TNPSC invites applications for 76 Combined Technical Services posts; apply online by January 20, 2026.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued Notification No. 19/2025 for the Combined Technical Services Examination (Interview Posts) – II. This recruitment drive aims to fill 76 vacancies in various technical and managerial roles across state departments. Aspiring candidates must submit their applications exclusively through the online mode by 20 January 2026.
Vacancy details and pay levels
The notification lists 14 different categories of posts. Key positions include 26 vacancies for Assistant Director of Agriculture (Extension) and 21 for Senior Officer (Finance). Other available roles include Accounts Officer Class III (8 posts), Assistant Manager (Accounts) (10 posts), and several Managerial positions in Mechanical, Electrical, and Legal divisions. Salary scales range from Level 22 to Level 26, depending on the specific post and department.

Eligibility and age criteria
Applicants must be at least 21 years old as of 1 July 2025. For candidates in the "Others" category, the maximum age limit is generally 32 or 34 years. However, there is no maximum age limit for SCs, STs, MBCs/DCs, and BCs, meaning they can apply until the age of 60.
Educational requirements are post-specific. Qualifications include M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension/Economics, CA/ICWA for finance roles, B.E./B.Tech. for engineering posts, and Law degrees for legal roles. Additionally, candidates must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
How to apply online
Candidates must use the Commission’s websites, www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.in. A mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) is required, costing Rs. 150 and remaining valid for five years. Aadhaar linking is compulsory for all applicants.
The examination fee is Rs. 200 per subject paper opted. When applying, ensure your photograph includes your name and the date it was taken.
Selection process and examination scheme
Selection consists of two stages: a Written Examination and an Interview. The written test includes Paper I (Tamil Eligibility, General Studies, and Aptitude) and Paper II (Subject Paper). Final ranking is determined by the combined marks of both the written test and the interview. Candidates are cautioned that recruitment is purely merit-based, and they should avoid unscrupulous elements making false job promises.
