The Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Paper-I Result 2026 on its official website ssc.gov.in. Candidates can now check whether they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the results for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Examination 2025 Paper-I on its official website, ssc.gov.in.
Candidates who appeared for the computer-based examination can now check whether they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
The SSC JE Paper-I exam was conducted across the country between December 3 and December 6, 2025, and again on December 13, 2025, in multiple shifts at various examination centres.
Thousands of engineering aspirants participated in the exam, which serves as the first stage for recruitment to government engineering posts.
Since the examination was conducted in multiple shifts, the commission applied a normalisation method to ensure fairness while calculating scores. According to the SSC, the results were prepared using the normalisation formula that had been officially published earlier in June 2025.
To qualify in Paper-I, candidates had to secure minimum marks prescribed in the recruitment notification. The minimum qualifying marks were 30 per cent (60 marks) for Unreserved candidates, 25 per cent (50 marks) for OBC and EWS candidates, and 20 per cent (40 marks) for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.
- UR Candidates: 30% (60 marks)
- OBC/EWS Candidates: 25% (50 marks)
- All Other Categories (SC/ST/PwD): 20% (40 marks)
However, clearing the minimum marks alone does not guarantee selection. Only those candidates who scored the required marks and ranked high enough in the merit list have been shortlisted to appear for the Paper-II examination, which is the next stage of the recruitment process.
Final Answer Keys Released:
Along with the results, the commission has also confirmed that the final answer keys have been prepared after reviewing the objections submitted by candidates against the provisional answer keys. Any necessary revisions were made before finalising the evaluation.
The SSC will soon upload:
- The Final Answer Keys
- Question Papers cum Response Sheets for Paper-I
- Marks obtained by both qualified and non-qualified candidates
The marks of both qualified and non-qualified candidates will also be made available online, allowing candidates to analyse their performance and verify the evaluation process.
Meanwhile, candidates who have cleared Paper-I should now prepare for Paper-II, which will also be conducted in computer-based mode. The commission has not yet announced the exact date for the next exam, but said the schedule will be released shortly.
Shortlisted candidates are advised to regularly check ssc.gov.in for updates regarding Paper-II exam dates, admit cards, and further instructions related to the recruitment process.
