SSC CGL Tier II answer key awaited as CHSL Tier 1 results expected soon on ssc.gov.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is at the centre of attention for lakhs of aspirants, with two major examination updates unfolding at the same time. While candidates of the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 are waiting for the Tier II provisional answer key, those who appeared for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025 are expecting their Tier 1 results shortly. Both updates will be released on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
SSC CGL Tier II answer key yet to be released
The SSC has not announced the date or time for releasing the provisional answer key for the CGL Tier II examination. The exam was held on January 18 and 19, 2026. The Skill Test (DEST) took place on January 18, while papers on Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Test and Statistics were conducted on January 19.
As per the official notification, the tentative answer key will be uploaded on ssc.gov.in after the examination process. Based on past trends, candidates can expect the answer key within two to three weeks of the exam. Once released, candidates will be allowed to review the responses and raise objections online within a fixed window.
Each objection will attract a non-refundable fee of ₹100 per question. The SSC has made it clear that objections sent through letters, emails or any other offline mode will not be accepted. The recruitment drive aims to fill 14,582 Group B and Group C posts across central government ministries, departments, organisations, and statutory and constitutional bodies.
How candidates can download the CGL answer key
Once available on ssc.gov.in, candidates will need to log in using their credentials to access the provisional answer key. After submitting the required details, the answer key can be viewed, downloaded and printed for future reference.
SSC CHSL Tier 1 result expected shortly
At the same time, the SSC is expected to declare the CHSL Tier 1 result soon. The Tier 1 examination was conducted between November 12 and 30, 2025. The provisional answer key was released on December 8, and the objection window closed on December 11.
Although the SSC has not confirmed an official result date, the outcome is widely expected by the end of January or in early February. This aligns with the commission’s usual pattern of declaring CHSL Tier 1 results around six to eight weeks after the examination. With the answer key process completed, the next step is finalising results, after which qualified candidates will move on to the Tier 2 examination.
Candidates are advised to keep checking ssc.gov.in regularly for the latest SSC notifications and result updates.
