Certificate Courses in Social Work in Psychiatric Disability Management

The Department of Psychiatric Social Work, National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences (Institute of National Importance), Bengaluru-560029, has invited applications for admission to the 3 months Certificate Course in ‘Social Work Practice in Psychiatric Disability Management’ to be held during January 2022 to March 2022.

The Course is proposed to address the training needs in the area of Psychiatric social work in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. This programme is aimed to provide practical and theoretical exposure to build capacity in social work practice for the management of psychiatric disability. Through this programme, the students will receive case based learning, direct supervision and mentoring from faculty of various departments.

Eligibility: The course is open to those who have obtained full-time Master’s Degree in Social Work, from a University recognized by UGC and approved by N1MHANS, securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate of the Master's Degree as a whole. Direct candidates, those deputed from other organizations and sponsored candidates from State/Central government /Armed forces/Other NGO’s can be admitted to the course.

This is a full time on-campus course to be held from 1 January 2022 to 30 March 2022. Number of Seats is 6. Fee Payable is Rs.9000/- payable on selection

Application: Application can be submitted by email or by hard copy on a plain paper along with (i) One page write up on why they want to pursue the certificate course (ii) Bio data with a recent passport size photograph, full postal address, Email ID/ phone number (iii) Research and work experience related documents, if any.

Certificate Course in Social Work in Community Mental Health

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru -560029, has invited applications for admission to the 3 Months Certificate Course in ‘Social Work in Community Mental Health’

The course will benefit social workers who are keen to work in the field of community mental health.

Eligibility: The course is open to those who have obtained Master’s Degree in Social Work (full time), from a University recognized by UGC and approved by NIMHANS, securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate of the Master’s Degree as a whole. Direct candidates, those deputed from other organizations and sponsored candidates from State/Central government /Armed forces/Other NGO’s can be admitted to the course.

This is a full time on campus course with a maximum intake of 8. Fee Payable is Rs.9000/-. Application may be submitted on plain paper via email or hard copy along with (i) One-page write-up on why they want to pursue the certificate course (ii) Bio data with a recent passport size photograph, full postal address, email id/ phone number (iii) Research and work experience related documents, if any
