Institute of Advanced Virology, Thonnakkal, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala- 695317, an autonomous research institute under the Science & Technology Department, Government of Kerala; has notified a walk-in-interview for engagement of Project Staff for an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Funded Extramural Project, ‘Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV): Burden estimation and the development of a monoclonal antibody-based point-of-care diagnostic’, being carried out at the Institute.

There is 1 position of Project Technical Support – I. The position is purely temporary, and shall be initially for a period of one year and will be coterminous with the project. The subsequent extensions, if any, will be based on performance and approval from the funding agency.

Educational & other essential qualifications: Applicant should hold a Diploma in MLT + Two years’ experience in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Graduate degree in Life Sciences + One-year experience in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in the collection and handling of human clinical samples; experience in infectious agents’ diagnosis using molecular techniques at a research organisation in the government sector is desired.

Age should not exceed 28 years as on 31.10.2025. Age relaxation shall be considered as per the ICMR guidelines.

Emoluments will be Rs. 18,000/- per month + applicable HRA.

A walk-in interview is scheduled at 10 am on 31.10.2025 (Friday) at the Institute of Advanced Virology, Bio 360 Life Sciences Park, Thonnakkal, Thiruvananthapuram – 695317.

Candidates are required to report at the institute by 9 am on 31.10.2025. All original documents, mark sheets and other testimonials, along with a complete biodata, self-attested photocopies of all the documents and two passport-size photographs to prove eligibility, must be produced to be permitted to attend the selection process. All educational qualification certificates shall be from a recognised Board/University. Experience gained shall be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum essential educational qualification.

All the correspondence pertaining to this selection shall be through e-mail only, and hence the candidates are requested to provide a valid e-mail ID at the time of reporting.

The selected candidate shall be positioned at Government Medical College, Kottayam, as part of the project work and shall be required to work at other collaborating institutions also, as per the directions of the PI of the project.
