NIFT has revised PhD Admissions 2026 guidelines, increasing Teaching Fellow seats and introducing updated fee waiver norms.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has issued revised guidelines for Ph.D. Admissions 2026.
The number of vacancies under the NIFT Teaching Fellow (NTF) category has been increased to 20 seats per year, from the existing 5 seats.
A 100% tuition fee waiver shall be granted to five candidates belonging to the EWS / SC / ST categories who successfully clear the NIFT full-time Ph.D. admission process under the NTF criteria.
A 50% tuition fee waiver shall be granted to the remaining fifteen candidates who successfully clear the NIFT full-time Ph.D. admission process under the NTF criteria.
The maximum age limit under NTF criteria shall be 30 years. There shall be no age limit for other full-time/part-time candidates.
All other guidelines and conditions governing Ph.D. admissions shall remain unchanged.
Prospective candidates and candidates who have already applied may take note of the above revisions while applying for Ph.D. Admissions 2026.
