MCC allows resignation of PG Medical seats (Round 1 & 2) until Jan 15, 2026. Vacated seats added to Round 3.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that it is in receipt of many requests from PG candidates who want to resign their Round-1 & Round-2 seats allotted through the MCC due to various reasons.
In the larger interest of candidates, the competent authority has decided to provide the facility of resignation to such candidates up to 5 pm on 15.01.2026, with forfeiture of security deposit.
The seats so vacated will be added to the seat matrix of Round 3 so that they are available to participating candidates for choice filling in Round 3.
Hence, candidates during the above-mentioned stipulated time can exit from their Round 1 or Round 2 seat allotted through MCC with ‘Forfeiture of Security Deposit’.
Candidates will have to physically report to the college for resignation.
Also, candidates must ensure that their resignation letter is generated online by the allotted college through the portal provided by MCC, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
The Notice dated 12.01.2026 is available at https://mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling/
