To pass, students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in both theory and practical exams.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results today, May 5, 2025, at 11 am. However, the result link will be activated at 1 pm. Students can access their results on the official websites, including mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.org, mahahsscboard.in, and hsresult.mkcl.org.
The overall pass percentage for Maharashtra HSC 2025 stands at 91.88%, reflecting a slight decline from the 93.37% pass rate in 2024.
In terms of stream-wise performance, students from the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage of 97.35%, followed by Commerce with 92.68%. Students in the Vocational stream achieved a pass rate of 83.3%, while those from the Arts stream had the lowest pass rate at 80.53%.
Among the nine divisions, Konkan recorded the highest pass percentage at 96.74%, while Latur had the lowest at 89.46%. Other divisions like Kolhapur (93.64%), Mumbai (92.93%), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (92.24%), Amravati (91.43%), Pune (91.32%), Nashik (91.31%), and Nagpur (90.52%) performed relatively well, but none reached Konkan's level of success.
In gender-wise performance, girls outperformed boys with a pass rate of 94.54%, while boys achieved a pass rate of 89.51%.
Students are advised to check their results after 1 pm today and collect their original mark sheets from their schools in the coming days.
