Kozhikode: A combined project of the three-tier local governing bodies of Kozhikode will be launched soon to provide SSLC and higher secondary level education to all in the district. The project named ‘Arumayodoppam Arivilekk’ will be implemented with the coordination of the district literacy mission. District panchayat president Sheeja Sasi inaugurated the ‘Prerak Sangamam’ organised in relation to the mission.
The parents of the high school and higher secondary students who have not completed SSLC and higher secondary education will be registered for the equivalent courses. In the first phase, 50 parents each will be selected from a grama panchayat for tenth and plus two level equivalent courses. Out of the total expense of the project, 60 per cent will be contributed by the grama panchayat while 30 per cent and 10 per cent will be incurred by the block panchayat and district panchayat respectively.
