Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), an Institution of National Importance under Ministry of & Family Welfare, Government of India, Dhanvantri Nagar, Puducherry- 605 006, has invited applications for the following Certificate courses.

Course, Qualification, Age, Total No. of Seats, Duration of the course are as follows:

Emergency Medical Technician: Applicant should have completed +2 (Science / Vocational stream with MLT/Nursing); Age- 17 to 25 years as on 31.12.2021, 20 seats; Duration- 12 Months + 1 Year Optional Internship

Qualified Mortuary Assistant (QMA): Applicant should have completed +2 Science with Biology; 17 to 25 years as on 31.12.2021; 2 seats; 12 Months + 1 Year Optional Internship

Enterostomal Therapy: B.Sc. Nursing with One-year clinical experience; Age - as per Rules; 2 seats/ every 3 months- Every year 8 admissions, 3 months duration
Phlebotomy: Applicant should have completed +2 Science with Biology; 17 to 25 years as on 31.12.2021; 8 seats; 12 Months (6 months training and 6 months’ compulsory internship)

Fees will be Rs.130/-. Caution Deposit- Rs. 1,000/-. Those admitted will get a Stipend Rs.300/- per month (based on attendance). There are no Hostel facilities.

On successful completion of the training course and evaluation by the Faculty of Institute, JIPMER will certify the candidate. A stipend of Rs.3.713/- per month will be offered to the students during the internship period.

Filled in application with necessary enclosures (Xerox of Birth Certificate. 12th Mark Sheet & Degree Certificate-for Enterostomal Therapy) must reach ‘The Dean (Academic), JIPMER, Dhanvantri Nagar, Puducherry- 605 006’ by 4.30 pm on 20.12.2021.

Walk-in-Counseling for eligible candidates would be held on 30.12.2021 at Exam Hall-3, III Floor, JIPMER Academic Centre. Registration would be held from 09.30 am to 10.30 am. Candidates must bring Original certificates (+2 Mark-sheet, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Birth Certificate, Residence Certificate & B.Sc. Nursing Degree Certificate-for Enterostomal Therapy), 1 set of photo copy & 2 Passport Size photographs when coming for counselling.

After close of Registration, Merit list will be prepared from among those candidates present for counselling on 30.12.2021. It will be drawn based on the Marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Biology put together / B.Sc. (Nursing) Mark. Top Candidates will be selected as per their merit ranking and the remaining candidates would be wait-listed for future vacancy, if any.

Those selected must pay the fees on the same day and undergo Medical Examination. On successful completion of Medical Examination, they should join the course on 03.01.2022. The admission to the course would be closed by 31.01.2022.
