The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Response Sheets for Paper 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 (January 2026), allowing candidates to submit challenges if needed.

JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.), and on January 29, 2026 for Paper 2A (B. Arch.) and Paper 2B (B. Planning). Exams were held at 642 centres across 311 cities in India and 15 cities abroad.

The Provisional Answer Keys for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.), along with the Question Papers and Recorded Responses, are available on the official website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can submit challenges to the Provisional Answer Keys online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question, following the procedure given in Annexure 1 of the Notice dated February 4, 2026, on the website.

The deadline for submitting Answer Key Challenges is February 6 2026, 11:50 pm. Payments for the processing fee can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking by the same deadline. Challenges without the processing fee will not be considered.

If a candidate’s challenge is found valid, the Answer Key will be revised and applied to all candidates’ responses. The final Answer Keys, after expert review, will be considered final.

Results will be prepared and declared based on the revised Final Answer Keys. Individual candidates will not be notified about the acceptance or rejection of their challenges.
