ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI), Library Avenue, Pusa, has notified Online Interview via Video Conferencing on 31.10.2025 for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis for the project, ‘Development of AI-enabled models and web solution for prediction of crop yield,’ running in the Institute.

The position is purely temporary, on a contractual basis, and initially offered for one year or till the project duration, whichever is earlier. Subject to the performance of the candidate, the period of appointment may extend on a year-to-year basis till completion of the project.

Essential Educational Qualification

Applicant should hold a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Computer Application or equivalent selected through a process described through any one of the following (a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests including lectureship (Assistant Professorship ) and GATE (b) The selection process through National level examinations and their Agencies and Institution such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc

Desirable

Knowledge of econometrics/statistics/modelling; experience working with R/Python software; good communication skills.

Age Limit

Men applicants should be not more than 35 years and women, not more than 40 years (5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates) as on the date of interview.

Emoluments(Salary)

Consolidated Rs. 37,000/-+ HRA (as per Central Govt. Norms) per month.
