The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) officially released the results for the HP Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) November 2025 session on Friday, ending the wait for thousands of teaching aspirants across the state.

The results cover a wide range of subjects, including TGT (Arts, Medical, Non-Medical), JBT (D.El.Ed), Shastri, Language Teacher, Punjabi, and Urdu. Candidates who appeared for the exams held between Nov. 2 and Nov. 16, 2025, can now access their scorecards through the board's official portal.

How to Access the Results

Candidates are advised to follow these steps to check their qualifying status:

  1. Visit the official HPBOSE website at hpbose.org.
  2. Click on the "TET (Nov-2025)" tab located on the homepage.
  3. Enter either the Roll Number or Application Number.
  4. Click "Search" to view the detailed scorecard.
  5. Download and print the result for future recruitment processes.

Qualifying Criteria and Statistics

To clear the eligibility test, candidates from the General category were required to secure a minimum of 60% (90 out of 150 marks). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories required a qualifying score of 55% (82.5 out of 150 marks).

Initial data suggest varying pass percentages across subjects. In the TGT Medical category, approximately 40.5% of candidates qualified, while TGT Arts and Non-Medical saw lower success rates of 13.2% and 12.8%, respectively. Notably, the Special Educator (Class VI to XII) segment saw a nearly perfect pass rate of 96%.

Lifetime Validity and Digital Access

In a notable move for career stability, the HP TET qualifying certificate now carries lifetime validity. This allows successful candidates to apply for teaching positions in government and government-aided schools across Himachal Pradesh indefinitely.

HPBOSE has also announced that marksheets and eligibility certificates will be made available via DigiLocker. These digitally signed documents are legally valid under the IT Act and can be used for official verification during job applications.

Institutional Accountability

The release of the results comes at a time of heightened scrutiny for educational bodies in the region. Following the recent tragedy at Government Degree College, Dharamsala, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has underscored that student welfare and administrative transparency remain the highest priorities. While the TET results mark a milestone for future educators, officials emphasised that the integrity of the examination process was maintained through an error-free OMR evaluation system.

For those who did not qualify in this session, the board indicated that they remain eligible to appear in the next TET cycle, typically conducted in the June session.
