Central Sanskrit University, established by an Act of Parliament (Formerly, Rashtrya Sansirit Sansthan, under Ministry of Education, Government of India); 56- 57,Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058, has invited online applications from NGOs/Voluntary Organizations/ Universities/ Institutions/ Publishers/Individuals/Students for Financial Assistance for the year 2023-24 under various Central Schemes of Ministry of Education, Government of India for Promotion of Sanskrit, being implemented by Central Sanskrit University, Delhi.

The following are the schemes: 

Sanskrit Teaching: Engagement of Sanskrit or Modern Subject Teachers for teaching in Traditional Sanskrit Pathshalas/Mahavidyalayas/Government Schools/Chatuspathi Institutions and Residential Scholarships. 

Samman Rashi: Annual grant to Eminent Sanskrit Pandits living in Indigent Circumstances. 

Programmes & Activities for Promotion of Sanskrit: Financial Assistance for implementation of various Sanskrit Programmes & Activities. Publication, Bulk Purchase and Re-print of Rare Sanskrit Books 

Shastra Chudamani: For utilization of Services of Eminent Shastric Scholars or Retired Sanskrit Scholars. 

Vocational Training: Conduct of Vocational Training to the students of Registered Traditional Sanskrit Institutions. 

Ashtaadashi: Eighteen Projects for sustaining the Growth of Sanskrit (apply only in designated areas).

Scholarships: Award of Scholarships to the Students regularly studying Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit languages from 9th class to Ph.D level in traditional/modern stream.

Applications can be submitted online at www.sanskrit.nic.in/. Applications for Scholarships will be accepted till 31.10.2023. For all other schemes applications will be accepted till 08.09.2023.

However as per guidelines of the concerned scheme, it is required to submit hard copy of publications/books/necessary documents along with hard copy of their online filled application duly certified by the Competent Authority, separately by Registered post, to ‘Director (Central Schemes), ...(Scheme name)..., Central Sanskrit University, 56-57, Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi – 110058 to reach latest by 20.09.2023. 

It is mandatory for all grantee institutions of previous years to apply afresh for each scheme, as automatic renewal will not be done.
