DTU announces January 2026 Ph.D. admissions across multiple departments, inviting applications from various categories

Delhi Technological University (DTU) (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), a non-affiliating teaching and research university, established by the government. of Delhi Shahbad Daulatpur, Bawana Road, Delhi-110042, has notified its Ph.D. admissions for the January 2026 session.
DTU offers admission to the Ph.D. program(s) under different disciplines of science, engineering & technology, management & humanities for those having an inclination towards research & technology innovation.
Applications have been invited in the following categories: (a) Full-time Ph.D. student with DTU Fellowship (b) Full-time Ph.D. student with a valid fellowship from other sponsoring agencies (UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR /ADF/QIP etc.) (c) Full-Time Ph.D. student without Fellowship (d) Full-Time Sponsored Ph.D. student (e) Part-Time Ph.D. student (f) Ph.D. Program for Industry/Working Professionals. Applications can be submitted online at the link provided at https://dtu.ac.in/ by 11.59 p.m. on 07.12.2025. The application fee is Rs. 1500/-. Those who expect the results of the qualifying examination to be declared by last date of registration can also apply.
Admissions are made on the basis of entrance tests and interviews to be conducted by the university. However, the entrance test is waived for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR-NET/DBT/ICMR/IARI-JRF full-time fellowship holders, qualified students in GATE/CEED/NET and similar National level tests conducted by equivalent regulatory bodies, all foreign national students, including those sponsored by ICCR/MHRD/ MEA, and covered under MoU with DTU, and Industry working professionals.
