New Delhi: Delhi University has officially begun its undergraduate admission process for the academic year 2025-26 with the launch of its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. The portal was inaugurated by DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, who also released the university's Bulletin of Information.

UG Admission

The CSAS portal will offer admission to 71,624 undergraduate seats across 79 programs in 69 colleges. The admission process will take place in two phases, starting with the entry of personal details and Class 12 marks, followed by college and program preference selection after the CUET results.

New Initiatives

Delhi University has introduced several new initiatives, including a single girl child quota in all postgraduate programs and revised eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs, which now accept dual subject combinations. Additionally, the university has launched new skill-based certificate courses through its Centre for Innovative Skill-Based Courses, such as AC-refrigerator repair, animation, and bakery, to promote skill-based learning. Two new postgraduate programs, an MA in Hindi Journalism and an MA in Tourism Management, have also been introduced.

For postgraduate admissions, 53,609 candidates have registered for 82 programs offering 13,432 seats. Notably, 1,131 applications have been received under the single girl child quota and 90 under the orphan category. In B.Tech admissions, 6,030 students have registered, with admissions based on JEE (Mains) scores.

School of Open Learning

The School of Open Learning (SOL) has also begun postgraduate admissions via CUET, introducing sports quotas and financial support schemes for orphans, PwBD, EWS, and other categories. SOL will also admit national and international-level sports medallists with fee waivers, promoting inclusivity and support for talented students.

The university has established a dedicated support system, including nine helpline numbers, email support, and chatbot services, to assist applicants.
