The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026, the National Level Entrance Examination for admission to the Management Courses for the Academic Session 2026-27.

This test facilitates AICTE-affiliated/participating institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the management courses in their institutions.

The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-approved institutions/university departments/constituent colleges/affiliated colleges.

CMAT Structure

CMAT 2026 will be a three-hour entrance Examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The date of CMAT 2026 will be announced later. It will have 20 questions from each of (i) Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation (ii) Logical Reasoning (iii) Language Comprehension (iv) General Awareness and (v) Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Medium of Question Paper will be English. Each question carries 4 marks. For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a citizen of India and must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2026-27, can also apply for CMAT-2026. There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT-2026.

Application Fee

Application fee for Males of General category is Rs.2500/-. Application fee for females, Gen-EWS/ SC/ST/PwD /OBC-(NCL) and Third gender categories is Rs.1250/-

Application Fee can be paid up to 11.50 pm on 18th November 2025, through the payment gateway using debit/credit cards, net banking or UPI.

Registered candidates can edit their particulars online in permitted fields, during the specified period.

Announcement related to the notification of the City of Examination, downloading of Admit Cards, display of recorded responses and provisional answer keys on the website for inviting challenges, declaration of result on NTA Website etc; will be made on the website at appropriate time.

Admissions

NTA has no role in counselling for admission to the Management Programmes. Candidates must apply separately to the desired CMAT-2026 participating Institutions with the CMAT 2026 Score. Thereafter, participating Institutions will release their respective cut off CMAT Scores which a candidate should meet to get qualified for admission to that particular Institution. Once qualified, the candidate will have to comply with the selection procedure of that particular Institution, which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate’s performance in GD & PI.
