NTPC Limited, a Govt. of India Enterprise; is looking for promising, energetic, young professionals with brilliant academic records to join the organization as Assistant Chemist Trainee.

Qualification: Applicant should hold a Regular/Full-time M.Sc. in Chemistry from recognized Indian University/ Institute recognized by appropriate statutory authority with at least 60% marks in aggregate. SC, ST & PwBD candidates with passing marks are also eligible to apply for the post.

Final year / semester students who expect their result by 31.07.2025 may also apply. However, they must be able to produce final mark sheet / provisional degree/course completion certificate with applicable marks criteria on/before 31.07.2025.

Age limit: Maximum 27 years as on 31.5.2025. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XSM candidates will be applicable as per Government guidelines. Where there is a vacancy identified for such category, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST candidates, by 3 years for OBC candidates, by 10 years for PwBD candidates. Relaxation of age to Ex-Serviceman will be as per Govt. guidelines.

Projected Vacancies: There are 30 posts. Category-wise projected vacancies are as follows: UR -15, EWS- 01, OBC- 06, SC- 06, ST- 02.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will have to appear for All India based Online Selection Test. Based on category wise merit and number of vacancies, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification/further selection process. The test will consist of two parts - Subject Knowledge test and Executive Aptitude Test. Candidates must qualify separately in both the parts.

Health: Before joining, candidates will have to undergo medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board/Officer, and their decision will be final and binding. Placement &Service Bond: The selected candidates will undergo one-year training at various places. The final place of posting will be decided after completion of training & this posting shall be at any of the Stations/ Projects/ JVs/ Subsidiaries of NTPC. All posts are transferable at the sole discretion of the Management. The selected candidates who belong to General, EWS and OBC categories will be required to execute a service bond of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rs. 50,000/- for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD categories) to serve the company for at least 3 years after successful completion of one-year training.

Compensation Package: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.30,000 - 1,20,000/- at the basic pay of Rs. 30,000/- (E0 Grade). The other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training / after absorption.

Application fee: Those belonging to General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-.
