NTPC Limited, India’s leading energy company, Registered Office: NTPC Bhawan, Scope Complex, 7-Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, has invited applications for the position of Assistant Law Officers at the E0 level for its Projects/Stations.

Eligibility: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent—a full-time degree from a recognised Indian university/institute) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/PwBD candidates). Applicant must have appeared for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 Post Graduate programme conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years as of the last date of the online application. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Projected vacancies are 6 (UR-3, OBC-2, SC-1). Vacancies for PwBD candidates will be as per government guidelines.

Health: The selected candidate should have sound health. Before joining, candidates will have to undergo medical examination at any of the NTPC hospitals and the decision will be final and binding. Those belonging to the General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-. SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates need not pay the application fee. The payment can be made either online or offline mode as per the procedure given in the Notification.

After a successful application, the system will generate a unique application number. Candidates are required to download the application slip and keep the printout of the application slip, which will be generated by the system after a successful application, for future reference.

Candidates will be shortlisted for further selection process, as decided by NTPC, based on CLAT-2026 Post Graduate programme performance scores, from amongst the candidates who apply against this advertisement. A CLAT score from any other year or a score from any other examination will not be considered valid. In order to restrict the number of candidates for further selection process, if so required, the management reserves the right to conduct a multi-stage selection process, which may comprise application shortlisting/screening (based on qualification/percentage of marks, etc.), a written/computer-based test, a personal interview, etc., or a combination of the above, or to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria, as per requirement.
