Thiruvananthapuram: The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has initiated the first phase of the centralized allotment process for Post Graduate Medical Degree Courses for 2025.

Eligible candidates included in the Kerala State Merit List who have applied for PG Medical Courses 2025 can now register their options online through www.cee.kerala.gov.in by 5 pm on November 12, 2025.

To register, candidates must log in to the ‘PG Medical 2025 – Candidate Portal’ using their Application Number and Password, and then click on the ‘Option Registration’ menu available on the homepage.

A security deposit is mandatory for option registration — ₹10,000 for general candidates and ₹5,000 for SC/ST/OEC and other fee-concession-eligible candidates. The deposit will be refunded after the completion of the entire counselling process to eligible candidates.

The list of medical colleges and courses available for allotment is provided in the candidate’s portal. The tuition fee in Government Medical Colleges is ₹57,890, while at RCC, Thiruvananthapuram, it is ₹3,00,000. In self-financing medical colleges, the fee structure varies:

  • Clinical courses: ₹18,36,456 – ₹19,42,235
  • Non-clinical courses: ₹11,14,992 – ₹11,79,215
  • NRI seats: ₹38,86,680 – ₹40,81,014

The college-wise fee structure is provided in the official notification. Fees for AMC, PMC, JMC, and MMC are those fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee and may be revised through Government Orders.

Fees for BCM, KDM, and SUC colleges are based on the 2024–25 structure, pending finalisation for 2025–26, and may also change per Government directives.

Candidates can submit their course–college–quota combinations according to preference. They are advised to choose options only for institutions and courses they are certain to join if allotted.

Only online-registered options will be considered; submissions via post, fax, or email will not be accepted. Applicants seeking admission under Minority/NRI quotas in self-financing medical colleges must register their options in this first phase itself.

Failure to do so will exclude them from consideration under these quotas. Candidates must read the relevant clauses in the prospectus regarding the centralized allotment process before registering options.

The provisional seat matrix is already published on the website. Allotments will depend on recognition by All India regulatory bodies and university affiliation.

Candidates whose merit list positions are withheld may also register their options, but these will be considered only if the defects are rectified before 4 pm on November 12, 2025, and they are found otherwise eligible.

Allotments will be made based on the options exercised, rank obtained, and reservation eligibility. The provisional allotment list will be published on November 14, followed by the final allotment list on November 15.

Candidates allotted seats must report to the allotted colleges between November 17 and 4 pm on November 20, 2025.

Subsequent Phases

In the second phase, no new option registration will be permitted. Candidates can only confirm, delete, or rearrange their existing options. Option confirmation is mandatory to participate in Phase 2.

However, fresh option registration will be allowed for any newly added courses. Candidates allotted and joined in Phase 1 will retain their higher options, while those below the allotted option will be automatically deleted.

Non-joining candidates will lose all registered options. Those who joined in Phase 1 but do not confirm options in Phase 2 will not be considered for upgradation.

In Phase 3, fresh option registration will reopen to fill vacancies remaining after Phase 2. Subsequent stray vacancy allotments will be made for any remaining seats.
