Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, has invited applications for the Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellowships.

A total of 18 Post-Doctoral Fellowship of one-year duration will be offered under Institution of Eminence Programme in various Departments. 

Selected candidates will get a Fellowship of Rs. 60,000/- p.m. + HRA of Rs. 10,000/- p.m. and a contingency of Rs. 50,000/- per year (on pro-rata basis).

Departments (where PDF positions are available): Fellowships are offered in the Departments of Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Centre for Genetic Disorder, all under Institute of Science; Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding under Institute of Agricultural Sciences; Department of General Medicine under Institute of Medical Sciences; Botany, Zoology, Economics Sections under Mahila Mahavidyalaya and in the Department of Environment and Sustainable Development (for 5 months’ duration only).

Eligibility: Applicants should be holding Ph.D in specified areas depending on the subject/ Department as specified in the detailed Notification at https://www.bhu.ac.in/ (Notices link). The desirable qualification for each is also given in the Notification.

Only those research scholars who have done their Ph.D. from Indian Universities/Institutes with NIRF ranking of up to 20 (overall or in respective areas) or those who have done Ph.D. abroad will be eligible. Research scholars who have done their research in Institution of National Importance are also eligible.

Applicant must have proven track record with published work of at least two papers in Q1 or Q2 journals or SCOPUS/ Web of Science listed journals. The fellows are expected to publish their work in Q1 or Q2 or SCOPUS/ Web of Science listed journals. 

The fellow will carry the title of ‘Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellow’.
