The Institute of Nanoscience and Technology (INST), Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar, Punjab, has invited applications for the position of one ‘Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)’ under the ‘Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)’ funded project at INST.

The title of the research project is ‘Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregates disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy’ and the principal investigator is Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda (Scientist-E).

The duration of the engagement will initially be for one year, which may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds. The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum till the completion of the project. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Fellowship will be Rs 67,000/- per month + HRA as applicable.

Essential Qualifications: Applicant should hold a postgraduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years of post-qualification experience or a PhD in engineering or technology.

Desirable Experience: Two to three years’ experience in research and development in industrial/academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

Age limit: Applicant must not be over 40 years as of 28.01.2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.

Selection will be based on an interview in Hybrid mode (online & offline)
