National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India; Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala - 695 011, has notified a walk-in-interview for two posts of Project Associate I on contract basis, for a period of Six months.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold a Master’s degree in Physical Oceanography / Ocean Technology/Remote Sensing/Data Science/ equivalent from recognized University or B.E./ B. Tech in Electronics /Computer Science from a recognized University. 

Desirable: Experience in data analysis and programming skill in Python/MATLAB, Experience in image and video processing, Experience in setting up of marine instruments such as wave gauge, ADCP, tide gauge, AWS etc., Deployment and retrieval of marine instruments; post-processing of data after retrieval; beach profile measurements, etc.

Age limit is 35 years as on 15.07.2024.

Remuneration: (1) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (i) National Eligibility Tests –CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (ii) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (2) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (1) above.

The walk-in interview will be held at 9.30 a.m. on 15.07.2024, at NCESS, Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram- 695 011.
