National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) 2024 for Post Graduates of Indian Systems Medicine and Homoeopathy who desire to take up teaching profession.

The Eligibility Test for Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy shall be conducted by NTA for Postgraduates of each discipline of Indian system of Medicine & Homoeopathy who desire to take up teaching profession. 

The National Teachers’ Eligibility test is to assess teaching aptitude; communication skills; classroom management; teaching, training and assessment technology; student psychology; andragogy; pedagogy or such other as may be specified by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) Commissions from time to time.

The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine & Homoeopathy shall be a Post-graduate degree in the concerned discipline recognized by the Commissions or erstwhile Central Council for Indian System of Medicine/ Central council of Homoeopathy.

NTET will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 120 minutes’ duration, with 100 Multiple Choice Questions with single correct response. For each correct response, 1 mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking. Language of the Paper will be English & Hindi.

A candidate secured minimum of fifty percent and above shall be declared as qualified in National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy.

The qualified candidates shall be issued ‘NTET Certificate’ certificate by the respective Commission. 

The Teachers’ eligibility shall be valid for a period of ten years from the date of qualifying National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy and any person fails to join within a period of ten years or break of ten years or more in teaching profession, such persons shall have to qualify once again National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy to join or re-join teaching profession.

Application: Applications for NTET Online can be submitted online up to 11.50 pm on 14 October 2024 at https://exams.nta.ac.in/NTET/

Application fee can be paid using Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI up to 11.50 pm on 15 October 2024.

Correction in Particulars of Application Form can be done at the website from 16 October 2024 up to 11.50 pm to 17 October 2024.

The intimations regarding Advance City Intimation, downloading of Admit Cards from NTA website, Date of Examination, Timing of Examination etc., will be announced later on the Website https://nta.ac.in/, https://exams.nta.ac.in/NTET/
