The Maharashtra government has released the Right to Education (RTE) lottery result for 2026, opening the admission process for the 2026–27 academic year. Parents can now check whether their child has secured a seat under the 25 per cent quota in private unaided primary schools.

Authorities have also begun sending SMS alerts confirming selection status. The admission window is open from April 10 to April 20.

  1. Visit the official website: student.maharashtra.gov.in
  2. Click on the “RTE 25% Admission for 2026–27” section
  3. Open “Application wise details”
  4. Enter the application number
  5. View the admission status on the screen
  6. Download the allotment letter if selected
  7. The allotment letter will be required during the admission process.

Candidates selected in the lottery must complete admission formalities within the given timeline. Parents need to visit the allotted school for verification and confirmation of the seat.

The process includes submitting required documents and completing school-level checks. Authorities have advised completing the procedure within the deadline to avoid losing the allotted seat.

Officials have confirmed that additional lists will be released. If selected candidates do not complete admission, vacant seats will be offered to others through waiting lists.

This year, over 2.89 lakh applications were received against more than 1.14 lakh seats, indicating high demand for RTE admissions across the state.
