Centre for Sponsored Research and Consultancy, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh; has invited applications for the positions of a temporary Project Associate for a time-bound sponsored project ‘Development of Non-invasive Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogator for Strain-sensing Applications’, undertaken in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. 

Tenure of Assignment will be 6 months and will be renewed up to a maximum of 18 months based on the performance.

Nature of the Work: Instrument design, Experimentation, Programming, Calibration of designed instrument, Procurement of scientific equipment, Report preparation etc.

Essential Qualification: B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering or M. Sc. in Physics / Electronics / Engineering Physics with CGPA 7 /70% marks (6.5 CGPA/65% for OBC/EWS and 6.0 CGPA/60% for SC/ST/PWD).

Desired Experience: Experience in Optoelectronics / Instrumentation / Engineering Physics/ Structural Health Monitoring related laboratories will be preferred. Applicant must be willing to work efficiently in a team environment, self- motivated, and work under a variety of challenging research conditions, must have good communication skills, must demonstrate the highest work ethics etc.

Age Limit: Age must not be more than 28 years which may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.

Consolidated monthly salary will be Rs. 29,700/-
