Kochi: Kochi Water Metro Limited (KMRL) has invited applications for 54 vacancies across multiple posts, including Boat Operation Trainee, Fleet Manager – Maintenance, Manager Finance, and Consultant – Civil. Vacancy details and eligibility

Boat Operation Trainee (50 posts)

  • Duration: 1-year training
  • Qualification: Minimum 60% in ITI (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, AC Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic) or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics (2022–2024 pass-outs only).
  • GPR License: Candidates with a GPR licence will receive a full stipend of ₹9,000 per month. Candidates without a GPR licence may be considered and will receive a reduced stipend of ₹7,000 per month, which will increase to ₹9,000 after obtaining the licence. GPR-qualified candidates may be eligible for advanced training for an additional two years.
  • Experience: Freshers eligible
  • Maximum age: 28 years (as of 1 November 2025; age relaxation as per reservation rules)

Fleet Manager – Maintenance

  • Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Naval Architecture; MEO Class 1 or Master Certificate (FG)
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of shipyard or onboard operations & maintenance experience
  • Maximum age: 56 years

Marketing Executive (1 post)

  • Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Naval Architecture; MEO Class 1 or Master Certificate (FG)
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of shipyard or onboard operations & maintenance experience
  • Maximum age: 35 years
