Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Corporate Office, Outer Ring Road, Nagavara Bangalore, a Navratna Company and India’s premier professional electronics company under the Ministry of Defence, has announced the engagement of trainee engineers on a temporary basis for Homeland Security and Smart City Business (HLS&SCB) SBU Bengaluru Complex for its project across India.

Qualification & Discipline

For the position of Trainee Engineer-I, the applicant should have a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science)/Information Science/Information Technology or an MCA (Master of Computer Application). Age Limit

The upper age limit as of 01.10.2025 will be 28 years. It is relaxed by 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PwBD candidates (having a minimum of 40% disability, in addition to the relaxation applicable to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates).

There are 47 posts across India. Those who are desirous of applying for the post should be willing to be posted at any location and should be willing to travel across India.

Period of contract

Engagement will initially be for a period of 2 years from the date of joining. However, the same may be extended up to a maximum of one more year depending on the progress of the project and performance of the candidate. Maximum tenure will be 3 years including the initial period.

Remuneration

Trainee Engineer—I will be given an all-inclusive consolidated remuneration of Rs. 30,000/- per month for the 1st year of engagement and an increase of Rs. 5000/- for every year of extension of contract. In addition to the above, consolidated amount of Rs 12,000/- per year will be paid towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.

Selection

Selection will be through a written test for shortlisted candidates. The venue for the written test will be intimated later. Written test call letters will be sent through email only. The names of candidates shortlisted for the written test and final selections will be notified at the website.
