Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Govt. of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, a Navratna Company and India’s premier Professional Electronics Company has notified the recruitment of personnel with Diploma/ITI qualification in specified branches/Trade at Chennai Unit on permanent basis.

The positions and eligibility are as follows: (a) Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT)- 3 years Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline / subject from a recognized Institution (Electronics- 4, Mechanical -4, Electrical- 1, Civil- 1)

(b) Technician ‘C’: SSLC + ITI + one-year Apprenticeship in the relevant trade or SSLC+3 years National Apprenticeship Certificate course in the relevant trade (Electronic Mechanic- 03, Fitter-1).

General / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks, SC/ PwBD candidates should have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Age: Applicants should be at least 18 years of age as on 01.10.2025. Maximum age limit is 28 years. Relaxation of upper age limit is as follows: Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)- 3 years, Scheduled Caste -5 years, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) having minimum 40% disability -10 years.

Engineering Assistant Trainees (EAT) will undergo training for an initial period of six months during which they will be paid stipend of Rs. 24,000/-per month. On successful completion of the training and on passing the gradation test they will be placed in the regular pay scales. Details can be seen in the Notification.

Registration in any of the employment exchanges of Tamilnadu is mandatory for the candidates applying for the post of Engineering Assistant Trainee and Technician ‘C’. The Employment Exchange registration should be valid and active as on 04.11.2025. Expired / Inactive Employment Exchange registration card will not be considered.

Application fee is Rs. 500+18% GST (Total Rs. Rs.590/-) for applicants belonging to GEN/OBC(NCL)/EWS. Those of SC/ PwBD / Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from paying application fee. Application fee needs to be remitted Online (through SBI Collect).

Candidates meeting the qualifying criteria and whose online applications have been accepted will be provisionally shortlisted for the Computer Based Test to be held at Chennai tentatively in the month of November 2025. The Test for 150 marks will consist of 2 parts. Part I (General Aptitude) carrying 50 marks, will have questions from General mental ability and aptitude to logical reasoning, analytical, comprehension ability, basic numeracy, data interpretation skills and general knowledge. Part II (Technical Aptitude) carrying 100 marks, will consist of questions to test Technical/Professional knowledge with 100 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.

The minimum Qualifying marks will be 35% for each Part for General / OBC / EWS applicants and 30% for each Part for SC / PwBD applicants.
