The CBSE has warned students, parents, and educators to beware of fraudulent agents promising quick duplicate mark sheets, certificates, or record corrections, stressing that only its official website offers legitimate services

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a public advisory warning students, parents, and educators about fraudulent operators claiming to provide quick fixes for duplicate mark sheets, certificates, and corrections in official records.
According to the CBSE Regional Office, Delhi (East), certain individuals and online platforms are making “misleading and unauthentic claims” about facilitating such services. The Board has firmly denied any connection with these agents. “Using unofficial channels can result in misinformation, financial loss, and other serious repercussions,” CBSE cautioned, urging the public to remain vigilant and avoid such intermediaries.
Only the Official Website for Services
CBSE stressed that all legitimate requests for duplicate documents, corrections, and other exam-related services must be processed solely through its official website — www.cbse.gov.in. The Board also clarified it will not be liable for any disputes, losses, or inconvenience arising from transactions with unauthorised sources.
Safeguarding Students and Parents
The advisory comes amid a rise in scams targeting families urgently seeking documentation. Fraudsters have been exploiting such situations by promising faster service in exchange for payment. By reinforcing the importance of verification and adherence to official procedures, CBSE aims to protect students and parents from being misled and exploited by unverified operators.
