School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, an Institution of National Importance, Ministry of Education, Government of India; 4, Block-B, Indraprastha Estate, New Delhi – 110 002, has invited applications for admission to the Two Year, Full Time, Masters Programs for the session 2024-25.

Programs and Eligibility are as follows: (i) Master of Architecture (Architectural Conservation) and Master of Architecture (Urban Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Planning or equivalent (ii) Master of Design (Industrial Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Design/Fine Arts or equivalent with valid CEED score (essential for non-architectural candidates) from approved streams (iii) Master of Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Engineering or Four Year Building Science or Five Year Diploma in Construction Technology or equivalent (iv) Master of Architecture (Landscape Architecture): Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture or Planning or Master’s Degree in Planning or equivalent post-Graduate diploma or certificate of completion of Pre-Landscape Architecture Course of the SPA, New Delhi (v) Master of Planning (Environmental Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Master’s Degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology or Environmental Science or Environmental Management or equivalent (vi) Master of Planning (Housing): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Municipal Engineering or Building Engineering or M.A. in Sociology or Economics or equivalent (vii) Master of Planning (Regional Planning) and  Master of Planning (Urban Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or M.A. Geography, Economics, or Sociology or equivalent (viii) Master of Planning (Transport Planning): Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Operational Research/ Economics or equivalent. 

Marks: Applicants should have 55% marks in aggregate (50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC) at the qualifying Examination. 

Selection Criteria: Shortlisted/Eligible candidates will be required to appear before the selection committee for admission for interview in person (offline mode only). Final selection will be based on Performance in Qualifying Examinations; Valid GATE/CEED/UGC NET Score; Portfolio of Work/ Thesis/ Project; Interview; Statement of Purpose (description of the interest and motivation for the chosen study); Work experience, if any, after attaining the eligibility qualification. 

Application: Application has to be submitted at the department wise link at www.spa.ac.in (Admissions 2024-25 > PG Admission Form link 2024-25) by 27th March, 2024 (Wednesday). The specified self-attested documents are to be uploaded with the application. One can apply for multiple programs subject to eligibility. Those whose final year results are still awaited can also apply. They must submit the final marks by 31 August 2024, failing which the admission will stand cancelled without further intimation.

Application Fee: Application fee is Rs. 2,500/- for Indian Nationals, to be paid online. Those applying for more than one program will have to pay the application fee of Rs 2500/- for each program separately.

List of eligible candidates will be displayed on SPA, New Delhi website on 10th April, 2024 (Wednesday). PG admission interviews in person (offline mode only) will be held during 15 April, 2024 to 19 April, 2024. First Selection List will be displayed at the website on 08 May, 2024 (Wednesday). PG Scholarships: Scholarships to GATE and CEED (applicable only for Industrial Design course) qualified candidates will be paid to those who have valid Score Card.
