
Palakkad: Writers T Padmanabhan, Subhash Chandran and Amal Raj have been selected for O V Vijayan Memorial Literary Awards. Collection of stories and novel which were published as first edition during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019 and an unpublished story by a young writer were considered for the awards.
T Padamanabhan was selected for the award for his collections of stories 'Maraya' and 'Ente Moonnamathe Novel'. Subhash Chandran was considered for his novel 'Samudrasila'. Kannur native Amal Raj Paramel was selected for Yuvakatha Award for unpublished story written by author aged below 40 years.
The awards, for collection of story and novel, comprises a purse of Rs 25,000, a plaque and felicitation letter. Yuvakatha Award comprises of a purse of Rs 10,000, a plaque and felicitation letter. The awards will be presented to the winners by minister A K Balan at a ceremony to be held at O V Vijayan Memorial in December this year.
