Key highlights include a 5-inch TFT display with SmartXonnect, multiple riding modes, cruise control, and switchable ABS

TVS Motor Company launched its first-ever adventure tourer, the Apache RTX 300 ADV, in India on October 15, 2025. Built on a brand-new platform, this 299cc adventure motorcycle seeks to compete with rivals like the KTM 250 Adventure and Royal Enfield Scram 440, offering a blend of touring comfort and light off-road capability.
Engine and Performance
The Apache RTX 300 ADV is powered by a newly developed 299cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine. It produces 35.5 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox featuring a bi-directional quick-shifter and assist and slipper clutch, enabling smooth and responsive shifts for both city commuting and touring.
Chassis and Suspension
The motorcycle is built on a steel trellis frame with an aluminium diecast swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm upside-down front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, both offering 180mm of travel, designed to absorb bumps and provide stability on rough roads. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels fitted with dual-purpose tubeless tyres, ensuring grip across multiple terrains. Braking is managed by disc brakes on both wheels with switchable dual-channel ABS.
Features and Technology
The bike comes equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster featuring TVS’s SmartXonnect technology. This offers turn-by-turn navigation with segment-first map mirroring, call and SMS alerts, GoPro control, and ride analytics. Multiple riding modes—Tour, Rally, Urban, and Rain—allow riders to customise engine response, traction control, and ABS functionality. Safety and convenience features include cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the top BTO variant, and adaptive LED lighting.
Design and Practicality
With a commanding presence, the RTX 300 ADV sports a muscular fuel tank, twin LED headlamps, a tall transparent windscreen, and a distinctive front beak fender. The split-seat arrangement and rear luggage rack cater to touring comfort and storage needs, while five available colours let buyers express their style.
Pricing and Availability
The TVS Apache RTX 300 ADV is priced competitively with the base variant offered at Rs 1.99 lakh ex-showroom. Higher trims include a top variant at Rs 2.14 lakh and a built-to-order (BTO) variant at Rs 2.29 lakh. This pricing places the RTX 300 squarely against popular adventure motorcycles such as the KTM 250 Adventure and Yezdi Adventure.
Deliveries are expected to commence soon, aligning with the festive buying season in India.
