The iconic Renault Duster is officially making a comeback to India in its third-generation avatar, and it’s bigger, bolder, and more high-tech than ever before. Set to shake up the midsize SUV segment once again, the new Renault Duster India launch marks a major milestone in Renault’s aggressive SUV strategy.

Once launched, the Duster 2026 will take on heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.

What’s new in the Renault Duster 2026?

The Renault Duster 2026 gets a completely new design, platform, and powertrain lineup. Built on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP) and made in India, the SUV has been tested extensively at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai, for Indian road conditions.

Design-wise, the SUV sports a muscular stance with bold Duster badging on the grille, signature LED lighting, and a modern cabin featuring:

  • Seamless digital dashboard
  • Ambient lighting with accent stitching
  • Ventilated front seats
  • 6-way powered driver seat
  • Electric tailgate
  • Inbuilt Google Assistant
  • 360-degree camera
  • Advanced ADAS safety suite
  • Electronically operated panoramic sunroof
  • Functional roof rails with load-bearing capacity of up to 50 kg
  • Renault also claims a massive 700 litres of boot space, which is about 80 litres more than its nearest rival, making it one of the most practical SUVs in its class.

What are the engine options in the new Renault Duster India model?

The new Renault Duster will be offered with three powertrain choices, including a much-awaited hybrid:

  • Turbo TCe 160 — 163 PS, 280 Nm
  • 1.8L GDI Strong Hybrid with a 1.4 kWh battery (launching by Diwali 2026)
  • Turbo TCe 100 petrol engine

This makes the Duster launch one of the few in the segment to offer a strong hybrid option.

When is the Renault Duster launch in India and what about pricing?

Renault has officially opened pre-bookings under a special programme called ‘R-Pass’, offering:

  • Priority delivery
  • Exclusive Gang of Duster merchandise
  • Special introductory pricing benefits

The Renault Duster price announcement is expected in mid-March, with deliveries starting mid-April. The hybrid variant will follow later, around Diwali 2026.

What warranty does the new Renault Duster offer?

Under the newly launched Renault Forever Program, buyers get:

Up to 7 years / 1,50,000 km warranty, one of the best in the segment

Renault has also introduced a new owner community badge called ‘Gang of Dusters’, aimed at building a strong brand ecosystem around the SUV.
